Second Semester over

So my second semester of school, well this time around, is over.   What a second semester it's been.  During the second semester besides the kid's birthday's, you have Easter and Spring Break and a whole lot of things going on.   I got sick twice this semester.  The first time I couldn't talk.   This makes my preschool class laugh because I start off fine in the morning and by the afternoon I can barely speak.  Then I spend the next day not having a voice at all.   2nd time this exact thing happened this year.  I didn't feel sick just couldn't talk.

The second time I was sick was set off with a trip to the hospital.  The entire right side of my face felt numb and I had a headache in the back of my head and just didn't feel right.  It was one of the scariest experiences of my life.   Off to the hospital I went and they did an MRI.   It was a virus in my head and they found 2 holes in my neck.  Still waiting to find out what that's all about.   Thankfully there was nothing else going on.

I made it to every class and yes the day I couldn't talk I was in class and of course called on.   Couldn't answer, couldn't talk.   That was my most embarrassing moment.  Sure my preschoolers laugh about my "funny" voice but I don't mind as when all 20 some eyes are on me in a classroom of my peers (Okay most are younger than me but still).

Well it's finally over and I got A's in both classes.   That makes everything worth it.

I will say attempting school while working and being a mom isn't easy.
Things I learned with age on this subject:

1. It's easier to go to school right after high school
2. It's easier to go to school when you don't have kids
3. It's easier to go to school if you don't have to work
4. It's easier the first time around to not do as well, I want it more now.

However, it's not impossible to do now just harder.  I really want it more now than I did than.   I eventually want to go and get my BA degree and that means more school.  I really want that too.

Liz.
